Saidly — AI keyboard for iPhone & iPad · Effective June 12, 2026

The short version

1. Who we are

Saidly (“we”, “us”) provides an iOS keyboard and companion app that rewrite and translate text using AI. Contact: support@saidly.app.

2. What the keyboard can and cannot do

Saidly is a custom iOS keyboard. To call our servers it needs the iOS “Allow Full Access” permission — Apple requires this for any keyboard that uses the network.

With Full Access granted, the keyboard still works like a normal keyboard: typing stays on your device. Text is read from the current text field and sent to our servers only at the moment you tap an AI action (a preset, Translate, or Read). The keyboard does not run in the background, does not record keystrokes, and contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.

3. Data we process

DataWhenWhat happens to it
Text you submit Only when you tap an AI action Sent over HTTPS to our server, forwarded to the AI provider, and the result is returned to you. We do not store message content. Our logs keep only metadata: preset, language pair, character counts, model, success and latency.
Clipboard text Only when you tap “Read” to translate an incoming message you copied Processed exactly like submitted text — never stored.
Anonymous account On first launch A random device identifier (UUID), creation date, subscription tier and action counters — used to enforce free/Pro limits.
Purchases When you subscribe or buy action packs Payments are processed entirely by Apple. We receive transaction confirmations only — never your payment details.

4. AI processing and sub-processors

Text is processed by OpenAI (USA) under their API terms: API data is not used to train models and may be retained by OpenAI for up to 30 days solely for abuse monitoring. Our servers and database are hosted by Railway in the EU (Amsterdam, Netherlands). Purchases are handled by Apple.

5. What we don’t do

6. Retention

Message content: not stored. Anonymous account data and usage metadata: kept while your account is active and deleted on request.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California) you may have rights to access or delete your data. Because accounts are anonymous, email us at support@saidly.app and we will guide you through verifying your device so we can locate and delete your record.

8. Children

Saidly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Security

All traffic is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS). Authentication uses signed tokens. We collect the minimum data needed to run the service — the best protection for data we don’t need is not to collect it at all.

10. Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
